Grinbin Cards have now been available for over two years on Moonpig, card sales are marching steadily towards the forty thousand mark and sales of mugs and T-shirts are also building up nicely. In the face of such success I decided that the little cardboard blighters deserved a blog of their very own, so here it is.
The dysfunctional brain-baby of a couple of shambolic plonkers, Grinbin started life over ten years ago as a few ideas clumsily scrawled on the backs of napkins and envelopes. Since then, it has ballooned uncontrollably into nothing less than a small limited company complete with its own headed paper, some business cards (with out of date addresses as I have since moved house) and aspirations that are probably well above its station.Unlike most of the turgid dross the greetings card industry churns out, our cards are not a cynical attempt to manipulate identified demographics through the medium of disingenuous sentimentality and fart gags. We’re just four ordinary (ok, maybe ‘ordinary’ is pushing it a bit) blokes who love coming up with surreal and daft ideas for our own, and hopefully others’ amusement.
Here’s some links that could change your life, very slightly:
Grinbin Cards – our website. Cards cannot currently be bought from here but you can have a jolly good ogle then nip to…
Grinbin on Moonpig – to buy some, then go to..
Facebook and tell your chums just how brilliant they are.
Further updates will happen when something worth updating happens. Fair?
